Welcome to Lunenburg High School's Construction Class

Course Description and Purpose: The primary intent of this is to provide the student with information and experience to basic residential construction.     In this course the student will be exposed to the complete sequence of home building from site selection through structure completion. There will be a drawing unit as part of this class. This course covers safety, use of hand and power tools, measurement, print reading, estimating, planning and design, construction math, construction materials, finishes and coating, and a wide variety of analytical and construction skills needed to build a house. You will be working cooperatively with the other students on lab activities.

   Lets start with finding out about the diffrent types of home designs. You will be going to a site that will give a description of some of the most common house designs.
